This is my entry for "insect" a picture I did last fall, and the ONLY picture I´ve ever done with any insect that I can remember..... Oil on canvas, 38x61 cm.
Yes Minda, and the paintings "real" name is "Growth" - but, the butterfly fitted the theme of the week.... ...I am saving some time to paint the other paintings I have allready startet with....
I love the original name of this beautiful painting. The butterfly is welcoming the new life, this painting kind of tickles my motherly insticts, in a good way. Great work again.
Beautiful. This has a nice flow of feminine creative energy to it, from the earthy flower to the chrysalis of the womb to the fully developed airy butterfly, free to take flight.
Great to see you back! I missed commenting on tea, but I wanted to let you know that it is very lovely illustration. Your insect is so much more – it is very real and resolute painting. Lily.
i love how you have represented the various stages of life here...a butterfly, i think, is a perfect (and beautiful) representation of how life "grows". gorgeous painting!

Really lovely!
This is a earthy, gritty painting, yet very subtle in it's beauty and imaginings.
