SPRING

I could not choose between those two paintings for this week theme, SPRING, because I think both of them fit the subject ;)

The first one I painted in January, oil on canvas, 81x100 cm, and wears the name "Field of Happiness".

The second one I painted in September/October last year, also oil on canvas, 60x73 cm, "Two on the road".

They both are beautiful. The upper one is so dreamy and sensible, brings the memories of young girl's dreams, love the fairy on the field. The lower one is so full of birth's wonder, new life, very powerful. Happy sprintime to you!

So enchanting and magical! I love them both. I recognize your playful way that is so often present in your art. I love the way the sun seems to reflect on the pregnant belly...bathing in the warm rays of a beautiful Spring day. Wonderful!!!

Your paintings are so earthy and sensual! The strength and beauty of womanhood comes through so powerfully. The top painting is my favorite...I love her completely unadorned body that looks as if she;s been formed from the earth, and I love the angels. It's really compelling!

I agree with Carla - your paintings are earthy and the strength of a woman comes out it both. I originally thought I liked the top one the most but then realized the bottom one was a pregnant belly. Which is cool because the first time I thought it was a hill (or mountain) that they were going to climb or walk over. I love that about this painting.

You have a great style! Went thru your postings - I liked the expression on the "Flavour" sketch, the different organ sketches/paintings and other life drawings. Great work!
