FAT

I think this oldie fit for the theme this week, FAT....

Painted 1998, oil on canvas, 60x70 cm and one of my own favorites, it always put a smile on my face :)

The new IF looks great, now I only have to experience how it is working......I will try to find me some time to have a look at the other participants this week....it´s always a great inspiration to see what you all are doing!

Super, I too love those blue lines. She reminds me of the many women I have seen in my childhood. They, like your woman, always looked so reliable and trustable. They were strict with rules, but normally there was this laughter in the air near them. They worked hard, but never missed the beauty of the surrounding world. My mother, my aunts, farmer's wifes, all those fabulous women.

Seems that period of warm and great women has ended under the modern times pressure.

Your colors in this are really wonderful...the blue shading is excellent. She looks like a grande dame of substance...very proper, but very nice. She actually makes me think a bit of my mother who's grown rather large over the years (and after six shildren), but still has a pretty face and always wears her lipstick! This is a beatuty!

Ever notice how fat people also slump, as if it's going to hide it? No one's proud of their fat anymore.

She doesn't look unhappy to me, but almost serene or adjusted to her outward appearance. Wonderful look and feeling in this piece!

This is great. I love the breasts, I love how soft the background is and her flesh almost blends with it at points. Her serene expression and the pose are just right. Beautiful.
